About this course

Geography is the discipline that investigates the relationship between people and the physical environments they inhabit, asking how natural processes create the landscapes, climates, and ecological systems of the Earth and how human societies in turn shape and are shaped by those environments. It spans the natural sciences and the social sciences, engaging with physical geography's study of rivers, coasts, soils, and climate systems alongside human geography's investigation of cities, migration, economic development, and environmental justice. In an era of climate change and global environmental crisis, geographers are among the most urgently needed graduates in the workforce.
