About this course

Diagnostic radiography is the healthcare profession concerned with producing and interpreting medical images that allow clinicians to detect, diagnose, and monitor disease and injury. Radiographers operate the technology that generates X-rays, CT scans, MRI images, and other diagnostic imaging modalities, and they apply their clinical knowledge to ensure that images are acquired safely, accurately, and to the standard that effective diagnosis requires. The profession is central to modern healthcare, and the images radiographers produce inform a significant proportion of all clinical decisions made in hospitals and community settings. At Bangor University, this three-year full-time programme leads to eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a diagnostic radiographer.
