About this course

Social work is the profession dedicated to supporting people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, or experiencing crisis, advocating for their rights, and working to address the social conditions that give rise to need and inequality. It is a regulated profession, requiring a qualifying degree and registration with Social Work England, and it demands both a deep understanding of human development and social systems and a genuine commitment to the welfare of others, including those who are hardest to reach. Practitioners work in children's services, adult social care, mental health, substance misuse, and a range of other statutory and voluntary settings.
