Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest and most versatile of the engineering disciplines, concerned with the design, analysis, and production of systems and machines that involve mechanical motion, energy, and material behaviour. From industrial machinery and automotive systems to aerospace structures and renewable energy technologies, mechanical engineering sits at the heart of the physical world we have built around us.
