Computing and information technology is a broad and practically focused discipline that prepares you for the wide range of roles in which computing professionals work, from software development and systems administration to business analysis, project management, and digital infrastructure. Where computer science tends to focus on the theoretical foundations of computation, computing and IT degrees place greater emphasis on the application of those foundations in real organisational and technical settings, developing both technical competence and the managerial and communicative skills that computing professionals need to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
