About this course

Artificial intelligence and robotics is a field concerned with building systems that can perceive the world, make decisions, and take actions in it. It is one of the most consequential and fastest-moving areas of engineering and computer science, with applications that range from domestic devices and logistics systems to medical robots, autonomous vehicles, and the increasingly capable AI systems that are beginning to transform how knowledge work is done. Studying it means engaging with both the computer science foundations of intelligent systems and the mechanical and control engineering principles that enable physical robots to operate in the real world. At Aberystwyth University, this three-year full-time programme provides grounding in the fundamentals of AI and robotics, covering topics including machine learning, computer vision, control systems, autonomous navigation, and the pro
