Neuroscience is the scientific study of the brain and nervous system, one of the most complex and fascinating objects of inquiry in all of biology. It asks how neurons communicate, how neural circuits give rise to perception, memory, emotion, and behaviour, and what goes wrong in conditions ranging from Alzheimer's disease to depression to epilepsy. This three-year full-time programme at Middlesex University blends behavioural studies, molecular biology, and clinical neuroscience, equipping you with the specialist skills and scientific insight to launch a career in healthcare, research, neurotechnology, or beyond. The programme includes a foundation year, which gives you a structured introduction to the biological and psychological sciences before you move into advanced neuroscience study.
