About this course

Electro-mechanical engineering combines two of the most fundamental branches of engineering, electrical and mechanical, into a single discipline that is increasingly relevant to modern industrial practice. Machines and systems that do real work in the world almost always involve both kinds of engineering: an electric vehicle depends on mechanical design for its drivetrain and chassis, and on electrical and electronic engineering for its motor, battery management and control systems. Electro-mechanical engineers understand both and can work across the boundary between them. This four-year full-time programme at Coventry University includes a sandwich year with a work placement and a year abroad, giving you substantial professional and international experience as part of the degree. The programme also includes a foundation year, which provides the mathematical and scientific grounding nee
