MSci Biochemistry with Neuroscience
About this course
Accelerate your career in research with our Biochemistry with Neuroscience with Integrated Master Biochemistry with Neuroscience with Integrated Master's MSci MSci Accelerate your career in the biosciences with our four year Biochemistry with Neuroscience Integrated Master's MSci. From understanding the structure-function relationships of the major building blocks of life, to designing and conducting an extended MSci project, you will develop the sophisticated problem-solving, communication, technical, analytical, and research skills that will prepare you for a career in PhD research, industry, or the broader bioscience sector. Hear from our students and staff β who share their personal experiences of studying and teaching at Keele. Our Biochemistry with Neuroscience degree offers a focused exploration of key biochemistry concepts, ranging from the structure-function relationships of the major building blocks of life, such as nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and proteins, to the regulation and control of metabolic pathways, gene expression, and cellular activity. As you progress through the degree you will apply core knowledge in these areas to understand the structure and function of antibodies, hormones and cell receptors and their roles within multicellular organisms, as well as experimental methods applied in areas of biotechnology and genetic engineering. Alongside study in core areas of biochemistry you will also study a strand of neuroscience focused modules across all three years of the course, where you apply your knowledge of cellular biochemistry and molecular biolo
