Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Content Creator
At this stage, you'll create content for your channel, learn video editing, and engage with your audience. You'll start building your brand and experimenting with different styles.
Content Creator/YouTuber
In this role, you'll produce higher-quality content, collaborate with brands, and analyze your audience's preferences. You'll refine your style and grow your subscriber base.
Senior Content Creator/Influencer
At the peak of your career, you'll be a recognized influencer with a large following. You'll create impactful content, lead campaigns, and potentially branch into other media opportunities like TV or film.
