Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Sports Agent
At this stage, you’ll assist senior agents in managing clients, researching potential athletes, and helping with contract negotiations. It’s all about learning the ropes and building your network!
Sports Agent
As a fully-fledged Sports Agent, you’ll represent athletes, negotiate contracts, and secure endorsements. Your role is to ensure your clients are getting the best deals while managing their public image.
Senior Sports Agent
At the peak of your career, you’ll be managing high-profile athletes, negotiating multi-million-pound contracts, and possibly even running your own agency. Your influence in the sports world will be significant!
