Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Racing Driver
At this stage, you’ll start competing in local races and karting events, honing your driving skills and gaining valuable experience on the track.
Professional Racing Driver
As a professional, you’ll participate in national competitions, work with teams to improve your performance, and seek sponsorships to support your racing career.
Formula 1 Driver
At the peak of your career, you’ll be racing in the highest echelons of motorsport, representing top teams, and earning significant endorsements while competing for championships.
