Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.

At this stage, you will take on more responsibility, managing projects and leading a small team. You will be expected to implement new technologies and optimise existing systems.
Senior IT Infrastructure Manager
In this senior role, you will be responsible for strategic planning and decision-making regarding IT infrastructure. You will lead large teams and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation.
