Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Model
As a junior model, you'll start building your portfolio, attending castings, and working on smaller shoots. This is where you learn the ropes and develop your unique style.
Fashion Model
In this stage, you'll work with well-known brands and designers, participating in fashion shows and campaigns. Your reputation grows as you gain experience and build relationships in the industry.
Supermodel
At the peak of your career, you become a household name, working with top designers and brands worldwide. You have a significant influence on fashion trends and may even branch into other ventures like acting or entrepreneurship.
