Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Cleaner
As a Junior Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning tasks under supervision, learning the ropes of the industry and developing your skills.
Mid-Level Cleaner
In this role, you will take on more responsibilities, possibly supervising junior staff and ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
Cleaning Supervisor/Manager
As a supervisor or manager, you will oversee cleaning operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
