Musical Theatre

Musical theatre requires its performers to operate simultaneously as singers, actors, and dancers, integrating three demanding performing arts into a unified and convincing stage presence. The training required to achieve this integration is intensive, cumulative, and vocational: it develops technical skill in each discipline while insisting that the three can never really be separated in practice. A performer who can sing but cannot act, or who can dance but cannot deliver a lyric with emotional truth, will not sustain a professional career.
