Software Engineering

At Liverpool Hope University, this five-year full-time BEng programme includes both a foundation year and a year in industry, as well as a year abroad. The foundation year provides a supported route into engineering for students who are building the mathematical and scientific foundations needed for degree-level study, or whose entry circumstances have not allowed them to demonstrate their full potential at the point of application. The year in industry gives you extended experience in a software development or technology organisation, working on real systems under professional supervision.

Across the programme, you will develop expertise in programming, algorithms and data structures, systems design, software architecture, testing and quality assurance, database systems, and the project management and professional practices central to software engineering.
