Build specialist skills with an integrated Masters year and set up for success with our focus on real practice. Begin your journey to becoming a skilled engineer in robotics and mechatronics. You’ll engage in exciting topics including mechatronics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, robotics and control engineering.

Your studies will be informed by our research expertise, including from the Centre for Robotics and Sensing Technologies (CROSS‑Tech). Our researchers work in areas like autonomous industrial robots, surgical and medical robotics, smart sensors and actuators, human–robot interaction, control systems, and machine vision. The curriculum is informed by the National Engineering Policy Centre and Royal Academy of Engineering’s Engineers 2030 recommendations.

You’ll prepare to meet emerging engineering priorities, gaining systems thinking and multidisciplinary problem-solving skills.
