Combining this with social care creates a degree that connects the richest traditions of ethical and spiritual reflection with the practical work of supporting vulnerable people. Many of the most significant organisations working in health, wellbeing, and social support have roots in religious traditions, and the combination of theological understanding and social care knowledge is directly relevant to careers in those contexts.

At Liverpool Hope University, this four-year, full-time programme includes a foundation year, a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, providing both a supported academic entry and substantial professional experience. Liverpool, with its two iconic cathedrals, its oldest mosque in England, and a long history shaped by diverse faith communities, provides a particularly rich setting for this kind of study. The social care element develops your understanding of welfare systems, human need, and the professional frameworks for supporting individuals and communities. The typical entry tariff is 120 UCAS points.
