Teaching children in the primary years, between the ages of five and eleven, is one of the most consequential roles in society. At Leeds Beckett University, this three-year full-time programme leads to Qualified Teacher Status as well as a degree, making you classroom-ready at the point of graduation. You will develop the academic understanding of child development, pedagogy, and curriculum that underpins excellent teaching, alongside the practical classroom skills that allow you to apply that knowledge with genuine confidence. The course includes a year abroad element, giving you the opportunity to gain international experience in education settings, which broadens your perspective on how different cultures and systems approach the fundamental challenge of teaching children well. The typical entry tariff is 120 UCAS points.

Graduates of this programme are fully qualified to teach in primary schools across England and, with appropriate recognition, in many other countries.
