Politics and modern history are disciplines that belong together. At Aberystwyth University, the home of one of the world's oldest international politics departments, this three-year, full-time degree combines the expertise of political scientists and historians in an integrated course structure. You will choose from a range of modules in both history and politics, exploring key themes such as power, violence, economics, society, and how these forces have shaped the modern world. You will study the development of political thought and international relations, examining how ideas about democracy, sovereignty, justice, and security have evolved.
