From documentary and photojournalism to fine art, fashion, commercial, and editorial practice, photography operates across an enormous range of contexts, and a degree in the subject prepares you for this diversity.

At the University of Westminster, this three-year full-time Photography programme combines creative exploration and technical expertise with critical thinking and professional skill development. Westminster's location in central London gives the programme immediate relevance, placing you close to the galleries, studios, agencies, and publishing houses where photographic work is commissioned and exhibited. The programme includes a sandwich placement year and work placement opportunities, giving you sustained professional experience alongside your studies.

You will develop your own creative voice through engagement with photography across a wide range of genres and practices, from fine art and documentary to fashion and commercial work, building a portfolio that demonstrates both technical competence and creative individuality.
