The Return to Registered Nurse (Adult) pathway is designed for people who hold a prior nursing qualification and wish to re-enter professional practice after a period away. Nottingham Trent University's two-year full-time Nursing R2RN (Adult) programme provides exactly this pathway. You will revisit and update the underpinning knowledge relevant to adult nursing, covering contemporary care approaches, pharmacology, deteriorating patient recognition, evidence-based practice, and the regulatory and ethical framework within which registered nurses practise. Clinical placement is central to the programme, and you will spend significant time in practice settings working alongside registered nurses and supervisors to demonstrate and develop your competence in real patient care environments.
