About this course

Remarkable recent advances make neuroscience one of the fastest-growing and most exciting areas in biomedical sciences. Taught by the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, our course combines the ir strengths, expertise and state-of-the-art facilities. From Great Ormand Street Hospital to the Institute of Cancer Research, you ’ ll find our graduates in a range of pharmaceutical , research and public sector roles.

To prepare for your future, y o u’ ll build a strong foundation in biomedical science, including neuroanatomy, biochemistry, molecular biology and pharmacology. Our research spans from medical neuroanatomy to the evolution of neuropeptide signalling in vertebrates. Through extensive genetic analysis, we ’ ve found strong evidence that there is a causal relationship between the genetics of impulsivity and bipolar disorder.
