At Leeds Beckett, this three-year full-time programme develops your technical and creative skills in sound and audio production alongside a grounded understanding of the industries in which you will work. You will develop expertise in recording, mixing, sound design, synthesis, audio programming and the use of industry-standard software and hardware. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, giving you substantial professional and international exposure alongside your academic development.

The sandwich year is particularly valuable in a field where professional networks and portfolio experience matter as much as technical knowledge.

Graduates work as recording engineers, music producers, live sound engineers, audio post-production professionals, game audio designers, broadcast sound operators and in music technology education. Some graduates pursue postgraduate study in audio engineering, music production or related fields.
