At the University of Huddersfield this three-year full-time programme develops your skills across the full range of multimedia journalism practice. You will learn to report, write and edit for print, online, broadcast and social platforms, developing fluency in video production, audio journalism, photojournalism and digital storytelling alongside the editorial and legal foundations that professional journalism requires. You will study media law, ethics, the history and politics of journalism, and the changing economics of the news industry.

The programme includes a sandwich year placement, giving you a full year working in a newsroom, production company or media organisation, as well as further work placement opportunities throughout the course. Journalism graduates go on to work in television, radio, newspapers and online news organisations, as well as in corporate communications, public relations, content creation and documentary production.
