About this course

Mechanical engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, analysis and manufacture of systems that involve force, motion and energy. It underpins a huge range of technologies, from power generation and transport to manufacturing processes and consumer products, and it draws on mathematics, physics, materials science and design thinking in equal measure. At Wrexham University, this part-time programme introduces you to the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering, covering engineering mathematics, core engineering skills and the fundamentals of mechanical design and manufacture.
