At the University of Portsmouth, the three-year full-time BEng develops your engineering knowledge and practical skills across the core areas of the discipline, preparing you to engage with contemporary challenges in transport, energy, healthcare and robotics. You will study engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials, manufacturing processes, control systems and engineering design, developing the quantitative and analytical skills that the profession requires alongside the ability to apply them to open-ended design problems. The degree includes a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, giving you substantial professional experience and international perspectives before graduation.
