About this course

Mechanical engineering is the broadest of the engineering disciplines, concerned with the design, analysis, and manufacture of systems and devices that involve motion, force, and energy. It encompasses everything from the design of small components to the development of complex machines, from thermal and fluid systems to robotics and advanced manufacturing. Mechanical engineers work in virtually every sector of the economy, because the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and dynamics apply wherever physical systems need to be designed and made to work reliably.

This four-year full-time degree at the University of Hull prepares you to contribute to sectors including manufacturing, healthcare technology, automotive and aerospace engineering, and construction.
