About this course

Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest and most versatile engineering disciplines, concerned with the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. From engines and turbines to robotics, medical devices, energy systems and consumer products, mechanical engineers apply the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and materials science to create solutions to problems that matter to the real world. At London South Bank University, this full-time three-year programme includes a sandwich placement year and work placement opportunities, combining strong academic foundations with direct professional experience.
