Law with Humanities at Warwick offers something that a conventional law degree does not: the chance to situate legal study within a broader framework of humanistic inquiry, engaging seriously with history, literature, philosophy, or other humanities disciplines alongside the technical foundations of law. Over three years of full-time study at Warwick you will develop the core legal knowledge and skills required for a qualifying law degree, covering the foundational areas of English law alongside the reasoning, research and communication abilities that legal practice demands. The humanities component runs alongside this legal foundation, drawing on disciplines that illuminate the cultural and intellectual contexts of law and its history. A year abroad is available within the programme, giving you the opportunity to study in a different legal or humanities environment, deepening your comparative understanding of how law and culture interact in different national contexts.
