Law is the framework of rules, rights, and obligations through which societies organise themselves, resolve disputes, protect individuals, and hold power to account. A law degree from Bristol opens a wide range of paths. The most direct routes lead to qualification as a solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination or as a barrister through the Bar Professional Training Course, with training contracts and pupillages at law firms, chambers, and public bodies. Many graduates pursue legal careers in commercial, criminal, public, or international law.
