At Sheffield Hallam University, this part-time LLB programme is designed for students who need flexibility while pursuing a full legal education. You will learn and apply the law practically, gaining valuable experience through the Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice, on-campus legal service providers, or with external organisations. A foundation year is available for those who benefit from additional academic preparation, and the programme includes a sandwich placement year and embedded work placement opportunities that give you professional experience in legal or related settings.

The LLB provides the academic foundation required for professional qualification as a solicitor via the Solicitors Qualifying Exam or as a barrister via the Bar Professional Training Course. Graduates who wish to remain in the legal profession will pursue these vocational routes after their degree. Beyond law itself, law graduates are valued in financial services, human resources, compliance, public administration, journalism, politics, and a wide range of analytical and advisory roles.
