Graduates of the Senior Status LLB are eligible to proceed to the professional qualifications required to practise as a solicitor or barrister, just as graduates of the full three-year programme are. The combination of an initial degree and a law qualification is often viewed favourably by employers, particularly where the first degree is in a field with professional relevance such as science, business, finance, psychology, or social work. Careers in solicitors' firms, chambers, the Crown Prosecution Service, in-house legal teams, the judiciary, regulatory bodies, and the civil service are all well-established destinations.
The LLB also provides a strong foundation for postgraduate study in specialist areas of law including commercial law, human rights, or international law.
