Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture is concerned with the design, planning, and stewardship of outdoor environments, from urban parks, streets, and waterways to large-scale ecological and infrastructure projects. At the University of Edinburgh, this five-year full-time integrated master's programme provides both the breadth of a general landscape architecture education and the depth needed to qualify as a professional landscape architect. You will work on real sites and scenarios, engaging with client-driven briefs in landscape studios and developing design creativity alongside professional practice skills. The studio-based model of learning is supplemented by a sandwich placement year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, giving you multiple forms of direct professional and international experience before you graduate.
