You will develop an in-depth understanding of the structure and functions of the human body, with a strong emphasis on clinical applied anatomy, which connects what you learn in the laboratory to the realities of healthcare practice. Keele's anatomy department has direct, on-site access to an anatomy and surgical training centre, meaning you will benefit from world-class teaching laboratories and hands-on practical experience, including cadaveric dissection.

You will develop strong skills in scientific reasoning, detailed observation, and communication, as well as a thorough knowledge of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological anatomy, among other systems.

Graduates of human anatomy programmes are well placed to progress to clinical training in medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, or surgical technology, often with exemptions from parts of clinical anatomy curricula.
