At Liverpool Hope University, this four-year, full-time programme includes a foundation year, providing a supported and structured entry point for those who need to build their academic foundations before progressing to degree-level study. You will develop understanding of the determinants of health, the systems through which health and social care are delivered, the policy frameworks that govern those systems, and the professional values and skills needed to work effectively with diverse populations. The programme includes a sandwich placement year for extended professional experience, a year abroad to broaden your perspective, and work placement throughout the course, giving you a rich combination of practical and academic learning.
The programme is oriented towards producing graduates who understand the causes of ill health at a structural level and who have the drive to promote health and wellbeing in communities.
