In your second year of the main degree (and also after any Foundation Year studies), you can choose how to specialise. You can continue studying for a BSc, learning more about the social context of the health and social care sectors, how policy develops and how it is implemented. Or you can decide to study for a BA to discover more about how arts and humanities approaches can help us understand and respond to changing needs within health and social care, across time and space.

Whether you study for a BSc or BA, you will be able to choose a Professional Practice route to gain practical work-based experience by undertaking a work placement module as well as completing a work-based digital project. You can also decide to specialise further in environmental studies by choosing specific modules related to this field.
