At the University of Glasgow, this five-year full-time programme brings together the study of the German language, literature and culture across the full range of the discipline, from the eighteenth century to contemporary German-speaking society, alongside a thorough grounding in management theory and practice. The language and culture component develops your proficiency across all registers, your ability to read and analyse literary and cultural texts, and your understanding of the historical and social contexts that shape German-speaking societies. The management component covers strategy, marketing, finance, operations, organisational behaviour and leadership.

A year abroad, which is central to the programme, gives you the opportunity to live and study in a German-speaking country, deepening your linguistic competence and cultural understanding in ways that classroom study alone cannot achieve. A sandwich year placement and work placement experience further strengthen your professional readiness.
