In this respect, the world needs Geographers more than ever. Geography is a discipline founded on understanding the complex links between the planet, its inhabitants, and the places where they live. As a Physical Geographer, you will help us to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
This degree is perfect for you if you wish to understand the Science of Geography and specialise primarily in Physical Geography. After building on your existing knowledge in first year, in years two and three we offer a diversity of optional Geography modules, covering topics spanning everything from tropical rainforests, deserts, climate change and environmental modelling. You can tailor your degree to become a generalist, or a specialist in Physical Geography, depending on your interests.
Throughout your degree, you will gain transferable skills in satellite image remote sensing, geographical information science (GIS), fieldwork, laboratory experimental design, statistics and data analysis methods.
