About this course

Our BSc Geography is an immersive, hands-on degree where experts integrate your learning with fieldwork and laboratory training across everything from rewilding and climate change to coastal restoration, water management, and remote sensing. Our recognised expertise in collaboration means you'll be taught how to combine the scientific expertise and skills you gain with the perspectives of communities, governments and companies to find solutions to complex environmental challenges.

Our BSc Geography programme is a transformative opportunity to study some of the most urgent issues facing the planet while developing transferrable skills in data collection, geospatial analysis, modelling, and field and laboratory techniques. You'll be collecting soil samples from Malta in your first year, learning about water challenges, and working in laboratories analysing data you collect. From there you'll work across our cutting-edge lab and geospatial modelling facilities with opportunities for optional fieldwork in Europe.

Throughout your degree, you'll have the opportunity to complement advanced study of Earth and environmental processes with studies of how and where the relationships of people and planet are being redrawn at a record pace.
