French and mathematics is one of the more unusual degree combinations, bringing together one of Europe's most important languages and literary traditions with one of the most rigorous and universally applicable intellectual disciplines. At the University of Stirling, this four-year full-time programme develops your French language and cultural knowledge to an advanced level alongside rigorous training in pure and applied mathematics. You will study French and Francophone literature, film, and culture while building your mathematical knowledge across analysis, algebra, statistics, and applied mathematics. A year abroad is built into the programme, giving you extended immersion in a French-speaking environment and deepening both your linguistic fluency and your cultural understanding.
