At Aberdeen this five-year full-time programme brings together two highly rated subjects, developing specialist language skills alongside the cultural, literary, and academic knowledge that serious modern language study requires. You will develop fluency in both French and German, reading and engaging with literature, film, cultural history, and intellectual traditions in both languages, and building the ability to operate professionally in environments where either or both are used. Aberdeen's modern languages provision has a strong research culture that enriches teaching and gives you exposure to current work in both fields.
