About this course

Forensic chemistry applies the methods and principles of chemistry to questions that arise within the justice system, from the analysis of substances found at crime scenes to the examination of fire debris, toxicology, and trace evidence. It is a discipline that demands both rigorous laboratory technique and an understanding of how scientific evidence is presented and tested in legal and investigative contexts. At Lincoln you will study the foundations of analytical and organic chemistry alongside the forensic applications that make this degree distinctive.
