Filmmaking is the craft and art of telling stories through moving images, combining the creative vision of the storyteller with the practical skills of production to realise ideas on screen. It encompasses screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, sound design and production management, and it demands both technical fluency and the ability to make creative decisions under pressure, within budget, and in collaboration with a team.
