Film and visual culture combined with music production is an unusual pairing that reflects the reality of contemporary creative practice, where moving image and sound are inseparable. At Liverpool Hope University, this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, a sandwich year with placement, and a year abroad, combining an unusually rich set of learning experiences. The foundation year provides an accessible entry point into creative degree-level study. The placement year gives you professional experience in a relevant industry context, and the year abroad allows you to study in an international environment.

Across the programme, you will move between theoretical engagement with film, media, and visual culture and practical work in photography, animation, and music production, developing both critical and creative capabilities.

Graduates are prepared for careers across the creative industries, including roles in film and television production, broadcast media, music production and recording, digital content creation, advertising, and the cultural sector.
