About this course

Electronic engineering addresses the design and development of the circuits, systems and devices that process and communicate information, from the microelectronics in a smartphone to the radar systems in an aircraft and the power electronics that connect renewable energy to the grid. At Durham University, this four-year full-time degree is taught within a research-intensive environment and incorporates a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, making it one of the most comprehensively structured engineering degrees available in the UK.
