Through the main BEng programme, you will develop expertise in circuit design, signals and systems, digital electronics, electromagnetics, communications, control systems and power electronics, building both the theoretical understanding and the practical engineering skills that the profession demands.

Graduates of electronic engineering programmes work across telecommunications, consumer electronics, semiconductor design, defence and security, automotive electronics, medical devices, energy systems and software engineering. Many work towards chartered engineer status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology. The skills developed also transfer into data science, embedded systems and technical consulting roles across the technology sector.
Further study at master's level in electronic engineering, communications engineering, power electronics or a related field is available for those who want to specialise further or pursue research careers.
