About this course

Electronic and electrical engineering encompasses the design, analysis and application of systems that generate, process and transmit electrical signals and power. From the microchips at the heart of every digital device to the power grids that supply electricity across continents, from wireless communications to electric vehicles and industrial automation, the discipline underpins a remarkable breadth of the modern world. Electrical engineers combine mathematical rigour with practical design skills, working at scales from individual transistors to large national infrastructure systems.

At the University of Strathclyde, one of the UK's leading technical universities, this five-year programme includes a dedicated year of international study at a partner institution abroad, giving you direct experience of engineering education and culture in another country.
