The generation and use of electricity are fundamental to modern life. The increased use of electrified transportation, data centres and IT devices leads to ever increasing reliance on power electronics supported technologies.

Electrical and Electronic Engineers have a vital role in addressing this challenge. Master the principles, circuits, systems and solutions at the intersection of these exciting disciplines, covering areas such as power electronics and motor drives, renewable energies, energy generation and distribution, smart grids and energy management. You'll experience a large team software engineering project, as well as managing a substantial individual project, allowing you to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a leader in the industry.

With an increased choice of advanced option modules, you'll have the opportunity to engage with world-class researchers and work with our latest innovative technology. You'll graduate with the abilities and approaches you will need to operate with confidence – as a researcher, expert designer or technical manager – in the challenging world of electrical engineering.
